No quick fix is better than integrating meditation into your life
“Thank you for introducing me to meditation. I have only practiced it once on a budhist yoga weekend in Wales several years ago, in a room of about 200 practising budhists whereby we were only guided to clear our minds and make them empty! I couldn’t do this as so many things were buzzing around in my head so presumed meditation wasn’t for me! But I really enjoyed the experience this time. I’m not particularly good at dealing with my emotions at times, and I know I keep things bottled up. The night we meditated under the gazebo, I felt overwhelmed with emotion, like the past 9 months was bubbling up inside me. You asked us to look at where we might be in the future, and for the very first time in a long time, I really felt positive about it and I could observe myself as being free and happy again. So really, yes, all that stuff is true but why do some find it so hard to do?
We think it’s time to innovate on the old, often a little bit dusty traditions that make mediation difficult and exclusive for those who can’t sit around long enough in awkward positions or can’t afford to go away and meet some holy guys, and if we get good enough at it we’ll supposedly transcend something we seek to transcend about ourselves, and experience something grander than the moment, and the physical form here and now, and maybe like Nirvana “come as you [really] are or [really] were or, yes, as I want you to be.”
So we ask What. Do. You. Want?
We mean, what do you want the universe to be, or how to be, or what to want you to want and to be? Now we are getting somewhere. If you come we will go beyond the struggle to sit a certain way for a certain amount of time in a certain position (lotus?) in a certain very quiet, serene exception to the world and transcend suffering the most, or furthest.

Our history is why
Though we are more than happy to review the meditative traditions and the texts that got us this far in the uni(poly)verse, at O·live we offer a much faster and easier route to self-practice, and you know, that’s what really makes a difference in people’s lives. A practice that enjoy so much, you don’t struggle to achieve it.
It’s a view of life. It’s what brings the miracles, plants the seeds, solves our problems, makes us better lovers and better loved, and gets us to better highs than any kick we ever tried.
So, like just about every other thing we’ve studied (including Newton) we need to innovate (including DNA), including mobile telephony, oh, and anyone out there still watching black and white TV?
People who have dropped out and given up on meditation saying that it wasn’t for them, that they couldn’t silent their mind, or sit on the floor or, whatever excuse was made to justify a lack of interest in a fad. OK, this is important and we had to take it seriously and listen, and learn what it really was that kept them from doing what they thought they really, really wanted. So guess what we did, we meditated on it!
IMAGINATION is the first solution (O8#7). Our innovation is just to be a little more creative with the concept in order to help you spawn a universe you are more in line with today, one that you would create (if) you had been the original designer. Or for that matter,e as many as you want, in as many reducible or irreducible temporal intervals you might be able to imagine.
Light, matter, energy, space, time - we have a whole lot of goodness to choose from when setting out to radically transform our worldviews into ones that feel best to us.
Get a glimpse of a universe of more promise and possibility than you had imagined when you simply set out to find some peace in your life, answer a question or two, or heal yourself of certain sufferings. The meditation practice has no limits.
Your Meditation is Yours
The O·meditation practice will bring the Mind and Spiritual Detox we yearn for. Here is where the old texts come handy. A meditation taken out of context often becomes a boring and tedious hard sitting. We on the other hand, briefly review the various traditions and their supporting texts and beliefs. Our OO8 Mind Detox Dialogue will clarify based on the best traditions introduce a more modern innovative approach to a discipline with very very very very old roots. That’s when it happens. If you spice up your practice with a healthy lifestyle, which gives healthy organs and body, it happens even faster… bang!
