RAW Falafels

Here is a Raw Falafel recipe from the Lebanese Meze plate that has turned out to be one of the favourite raw plates of all times. 

  • 3/4 Cup raw soaked sunflower seeds
  • 2 finely chopped carrots
  • 2 Onions 
  • 4 Celery Stalks
  • 2 Red bell peppers

Finely chopped separately in food processor.

Add into bowl:

  • Parsley, half a bunch, chopped
  • Cumin 3 Tbsp
  • Curry 3 Tbsp
  • Salt 3 tsp
  • 1 C ground flax

Blend everything well in bowl, and add water (start with 1/2 C) for desired consistency to roll into balls. Roll in sesame seeds and place on dehydrator tray. 

Dehydrate for 6-8 hours at 42C, depending in the size of falafel ball. Cut it in the middle and see if you want it more dehydrated.
